Though a house with raised floor is generally seen in rural area, it also exists in the urban area, Phnom Penh. This style was introduced from rural area to urban area. Many of them in Phnom Penh were destroyed and vanished, but a few still can be seen. Previously one family lives in one house, but now many families lives in one house by making additional new spaces and dividing large previous house space.
